Identify the section before the detail

Start with a wider view of the work area. Add the road name, section or chainage, and direction in the work notes, so the next crew can locate the same stretch.

Record the work before it is covered

Photograph visible groundwork, drainage, and pavement layers as the job progresses. Include an overview and the details needed for the next review.

• Before: existing surface and work boundaries.
• During: excavation, drainage, base preparation, or paving.
• After: restored surface, road markings, and remaining work.

Make progress useful to the next crew

Use a consistent Work Log layout with the date, location, section, and task. State what is complete and what still needs attention, such as a drainage connection or a section awaiting paving.

Bring the route’s records together

Organize photos in TeamSpace by project and use consistent section references. Share a clear sequence or PDF photo report for the site update, with outstanding items called out in the notes.
